The sample rate does matter with recording

Some people (like my recording teacher at the university) say that the 96khz samplerate is basically an overkill, and that you can’t hear a difference and that you need to use only the 44.1khz or 48khz samplerates for recording. I disagree. I used Ibanez Artcore guitar, Radial J48 DI-box, RME Multiface audio interface, Genelec 8030 monitors and Amplitube 2 DUO software to demo you that you can hear how major the difference between the 96k and 44.1k eventho the sound comes form the cameramic and the AV-quality sucks. It’s really not that subtle difference, it’s really easily audible.
